1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ScanOrbit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.
2. Local-First Architecture & Data Ownership
ScanOrbit operates on a local-first architecture. You retain 100% ownership and control over all documents, photos, and PDF files created within the application. For free users, all files reside strictly on your local device with no remote storage.
3. ScanOrbit Pro Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
ScanOrbit offers optional ScanOrbit Pro subscriptions (Monthly or Annual) and lifetime purchase options processed through Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your Google Play Subscriptions settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time.
4. User Responsibility & Data Retention
For free offline users, uninstalling the application or selecting “Delete all scans” permanently purges local document files. For ScanOrbit Pro users utilizing encrypted cloud sync, files remain safely backed up in your private account until you explicitly choose to delete them.
5. Usage License & Intellectual Property
ScanOrbit grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, educational, or commercial scanning workflows in compliance with applicable laws.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
ScanOrbit is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
