Join the ScanOrbit Android beta

Try ScanOrbit on your Android phone before the public launch. It takes two steps and about a minute.

  1. Join the tester group

Google Play offers the beta to members of our tester group. Join it with a Google account, and make sure it is the one signed in to Google Play on your phone.

Use the same Google account here and in the Play Store on your phone, or Google Play will say the app isn't available.

    Join the Google Group
  2. Accept the invite and install

Once you've joined, open the testing page on your phone, tap Become a tester, then install ScanOrbit from Google Play.

Still seeing “App not available”? Google can take a few minutes to recognise a new member. Wait, then try again.

Beta builds are early and may have rough edges. Tell us what you find.

Beta troubleshooting

Why does Google Play say “App not available”?

Google Play only shows the beta to the Google account that joined the tester group. Check that the account signed in to Google Play on your phone is the one you joined with, wait a few minutes after joining, then open the testing page again.

How do I get new beta builds?

Once you've accepted the invite, new beta builds arrive like any other update from Google Play. Open the ScanOrbit page in the Play Store and tap Update if automatic updates are off.

Is my data safe in the beta?

The beta works like the final app: scanning, OCR and PDF export run on your phone, and nothing leaves it unless you share a file or turn on optional encrypted cloud sync. Joining the group shares your Google account email with the ScanOrbit team so Google Play can recognise you as a tester.
